Month of the Military Child

Month of the Military ChildHere at STAR4D we are privileged to work with so many amazing servicemen and women throughout all of the U.S. military branches. We honor the sacrifices they make, including being away from family.

As a way to honor children of servicemen and women, Secretary of Defense Caspar Weinberger designated April as "The Month of the Military Child" in 1986. Military children become resilient through family separations, frequent moves and reintegration leading them to quickly learn how to adapt.

Commands, schools and communities will be holding events and celebrations throughout April. To learn more or find ideas of what you can do to participate visit
