- Letterkenny Army Depot's PaintDivision in cooperation with the University of Northern Iowa (UNI) and the Iowa Waste Reduction Center and Tiburon has just launched a regional Painter Training Institute. The training regimen and curriculum follows UNI's Spray Technique Analysis and Research for Defense (STAR4D) methodology. STAR4D provides exceptional painter training for military facilities through expertise, knowledge, and skill.
- Letterkenny Army Depot's PaintDivision in cooperation with the University of Northern Iowa (UNI) and the Iowa Waste Reduction Center and Tiburon has just launched a regional Painter Training Institute. The training regimen and curriculum follows UNI's Spray Technique Analysis and Research for Defense (STAR4D) methodology. STAR4D provides exceptional painter training for military facilities through expertise, knowledge, and skill.
- LEAD Holds First Certification Course (November 2009)
- The STAR4Defense Paint Institute at the Letterkenny Army Depot completed the first 3-day certification training course the week of November 3. The course was run by Lead Instructor Dennis Rosenberry and was attended by four employees. Students trained in the classroom, on the VirtualPaint, and in the booth, which included some camouflage training with great results! More classes are scheduled at LEAD, within the next 12 months, approximately 72 more painters, quality inspectors and military uniformed soldiers are planned to be trained at the LEAD facility, check back for updates.

- MIARGN Recognized for Environmental Stewardship
- STAR4D is proud to announce the Michigan Army National Guard (MIARGN) Joint Forces Headquarters and its Combined Support Maintenance Shop (CSMS) and Environmental Division have been recognized for their environmental stewardship and sustainability in the region. MIARGN has been working with STAR4D to implement training and improve operations.
Previous Class Trained
Six painters came from Rock Island Arsenal to be our first class of the new year! They attended the STAR4Defense training facility to get their Coatings Technician Certificates on January 12 – 14, 2010.
